This website belongs to Brian, trading as The Grange Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, a sole trader based in Southport. Here is what happens to your details when you get in touch.

What I collect

When you use the enquiry form I collect what you type in: your name, phone number, email address if you give it, the first half of your postcode or your area, what pets you have, the service you’re interested in, your rough dates and your message. If you call, WhatsApp or email me instead, I only have what you choose to tell me.

Why I collect it and the legal basis

I use your details for one reason: to respond to your enquiry and arrange a meet & greet or a booking. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me, and where a booking follows, the steps needed to enter into a contract with you. I don’t use your details for marketing and I don’t sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

Who handles your details

• Resend sends the enquiry form to me as an email. Resend acts as my email processor and holds the message only to deliver it.
• Vercel hosts this website and processes the request when you submit the form. Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs to run the service.
• Google provides my email inbox (Gmail), which is where the enquiry lands.

There are no analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

How long I keep it

I keep your enquiry until it has been dealt with. If you become a client, I keep the details I need to look after your pets (your address, contact numbers, your vet and your pet’s routine) for as long as you use my services, and delete them when you stop. If you don’t go ahead, I delete the enquiry.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the details I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete them, or object to how I use them. Email me at brianatthegrange@gmail.com and I’ll sort it. If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
